April 2021 Newsletter

Dear Parents,

We had a very busy month in March with lots of celebrations such as ‘Healthy Body, Happy Me’ week with the National Day Nurseries Association from Monday 22nd March to Friday 26th March. The children all enjoyed this week and took part in some lovely activities!

We are very pleased that we are able to continue to take part in numerous courses online which will benefit the children and staff. Last month we took part in the Balanceability course which encourages children to learn to use balance bikes. The company kindly gifted us with 2 new balance bikes and helmets for the children to practice on at nursery! They have had so much fun!

Our local Police Officers made a surprise visit to nursery to show the children the police van! We are hoping that this can become a regular occurrence again as it is an outside activity where everyone can socially distance. The children loved seeing the police van and the flashing lights!

Sadly, some of our children will be moving on to school after Easter. We wish them all the best and hope they keep in touch.

Our monthly topic is Mini Beasts.

We would usually be planning our annual Folly Farm Trip for May or June time but unfortunately this cannot go ahead yet. Miss Charlene is in contact with Folly Farm who will keep us updated on when/if group trips will be allowed. Hopefully we will be able to plan something for the late Summer/early Autumn.
