August 2019 Newsletter

Dear Parents,

Party week was a great success and enjoyed by all of the children and staff. Many
thanks to The Sandcastle Entertainment team for all the enjoyable balloon modelling,
music and characters that they provided.

We welcomed the Lord Mayor of Swansea, Peter Black, to The Rose Garden where
he joined us for afternoon tea during party week. He was very pleased with all of the
crafts the children made to welcome him. The children really enjoyed celebrating
Swansea becoming a city 50 years ago and being awarded Platinum level from the
National Day Nursery Association as well as Nursery turning 24 years old this year.

We would like to welcome all of the new children to The Rose Garden and wish all of
our children who are moving onto big school fun times ahead. We know you will take
happy memories with you and hope you share your progress with us.

This months topic is ‘Under the Sea’, the children will be making lots of crafts and
taking part in lots of fun activities.

Dates for your diary:
Monday 26th Bank Holiday – Nursery Closed

Thanking you all once again for your continuing support.

Kind Regards,

Ann Khoshbin, Staff and Children at The Rose Garden.

July 2019 Newslatter

Dear Parents,

Summer has arrived at long last! A big thank you to everyone for another successful trip to Folly Farm, it was enjoyed by all.

We have lots to celebrate at ‘The Rose Garden’; we will be celebrating 24 happy and successful years this Summer.

We shall have party week w/c 15th July and will have a special visit from the Lord Mayor of Swansea on Friday 19th July. He will be coming for afternoon tea with the children. We will also have entertainment every day for the children which will be provided by Sandcastle Entertainment!

We are proud to announce that we have achieved Platinum status for Care, Learning and Development from the National Day Nurseries Association. We are the first nursery in Wales to achieve this prestigious accolade – and one of which we are extremely proud.

The children are all busy celebrating Swansea becoming a city 50 years ago.

Sadly Miss Kirsty will be leaving us in August to travel to Australia and around the world. We will be sad to see her go. Miss Kirsty has been an asset to the nursery, hopefully she will return to The Rose Garden after her adventure.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Miss Leah to The Rose Garden.

We would also like to welcome all of the new children to The Rose Garden and wish all of our children who are moving onto big school fun times ahead. We know you will take happy memories with you and hope you share your progress with us.

We would like to welcome all of our new children to The Rose Garden, all of whom have settled in very well.

It is a very sad time for us, at this time of year, as we have to say goodbye to some of our older children, who will be going off to ‘Big School’.  We wish them every happiness and hope they will keep in touch.

Thank you all for the positive feedback with the learning journeys.

We are pleased to announce that we have received Platinum status nationally, for care, learning and development from the National Day Nursery Association following our in-depth quality assurance assessment. We are all extremely proud of this accolade and we will be celebrating with ‘party week’ for the children.

The theme for this month is, “In the Jungle”. The children will be learning more about this topic and also taking part in lots of fun activities. The children all enjoyed our visit from Zoo Lab last month, and especially enjoyed being able to interact with all of the different types of ‘Mini Beasts’.

Thank you all for completing our questionnaire. 100% of parents and children are happy with the facility. Some of your comments were extremely heartwarming and very appreciative of the loving and caring environment that your child is nurtured in.

We have decided to send the children’s Learning Journey’s home every 3 months for your perusal. It is very important that these are then returned to nursery by the due date.
